Our mission here at Stay Twilight is to support the upcoming film version of Twilight. For Stephenie Meyer's brilliant novel is very dear to the fans, and more than anything we just want to see the movie stay true to the original story.

Ideas for forming this site started floating around my head after I heard about Kristen Stewart being cast as Bella. I approved of the choice, but it just stirred up my old fears from when I first heard about the film. Would it be good? Would the stay true to the storyline? How are they EVER going to find Edward?! That's when I thought of starting this site. A site where fans could band together to show their desire for the film to respect it origins. But what really sealed the deal for me, is when I found supportpattz.

Robert Pattinson has just been cast as Edward and I, like so many others, was shocked. I couldn't see anything beyond Cedric Diggory. But then I found the supportpattz community and they helped me to see that while Robert didn't look like Edward (although I had already accepted that NO ONE would) he did have the capacity to play Edward. And play him very well. Which is pretty much how I fell in love with R. Pattz. <333

Which caused my idea for this site to evolve. Now I think of it as not only a place to support the preservation of the story, but also a place to support the film itself. A place where all the happy and accepting fans could come to show their support, and a place where Ms. Meyer and Summit Entertainment could come to see that not everyone was devastated by the casting of Robert and/or Kristen.

On January 2nd, 2008 I officially launched Stay Twilight. Here's hopin' I'm not alone! :D
