Okay, so I'm just totally STOKED for the film!!!1! And I'm so far beyond pleased with the casting!
When I first heard Kristen had been cast as Bella, I was okay with it but not quite excited. Of course I went out and got a couple of films she's been in and now- I totally love her. It was an excellent choice for Bella. :D But when I found out about Robert... At first, I was horrified. Because, like so many others, I could only see him as Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter. And then I looked him up and rewatched HP: GOF. And I'm totally in love with him. <333 I knew they'd never EVER find anyone who looked like him (or any of the Cullens) so I just hope for someone who could make us believe he was Edward. I think Robert can do that!
Reading Ms. Meyer's comments about how excited she is and how well the makers of the film are handling things, I have extremely high hopes for the movie. And Summit's current description for the movie seems to be hand-in-hand with the novel, so I'm just over the moon. I scream and bounce around a lot. It kinda freaks people out. ;)
ALI - WEBSITE - EMAILI really hope they stay true to form on this one, otherwise, any sequels they make will not make sense. I'm not familiar with either actor, but am eagar to see how they portray Bela and Edward. Hopefully the powers that be will start casting the other characters soon.
PS - i'm not a young adult - i'm 27 and i LOVE all three books and an anxiously waiting for the movie and the 4th book to come out.
I have high hopes for the Twilight movie! Once I found out they were making a movie, I jumped out of my chair and tripped. (just like Bella lol)
Ever since then, I looked on Stephanie's site everyday. When I found out that Kristen Stewart was playing Bella, I was OK with it. Iv'e seen her other movies and they were all pretty good. A couple of weeks later I found out that robert pattinson was playing Edward. I took a quick glance of the pic on the site and I was furious. He doesn't look like Edward in that pic. I then found out he played Cedric in Harry Potter. I am also a fan of Harry Potter ,and unfortunately I hadn't seen the movie. I looked at his pics and I calmed down. Like Kate said," I knew they'd never EVER find anyone who looked like him".
I can't wait for the movie, the 4th book, and the casting of Jacob and Alice! :D
I just finished reading Twilight, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I actually bought it a year ago, but never had the time to read it. The book feels as if something like that could actually happen! Twilight keeps me thinking still, and I don't know long this is gonna last. Edward Cullen is just amazing, and Bella's just lucky :].
When I heard about Twilight becoming a movie, I was . . . ecstatic? I'd say so. I've never heard of Kristen Stewert until I heard she got the part of Bella; and what I've heard of her was some pretty rad stuff, so I'm pretty excited for that.
When I was reading the book, I'd always imagine the person playing Edward Cullen as that guy that played Cedric Diggory -- Robert Patterson. It's weird, because one of my friends was telling me about how he was going to play that part -- and I was so psyched! I loved Rob's part as Cedric Diggory, and I can't wait any longer to watch him play as Edward!
